The People SHALL

Seems there's an underlying issue, elusive yet present, But wherever it hides, solutions can be found,
Something about Mr. Right, positioned rightly to do right, right! Echoes of freedom, yearning for its dawn,
Thoughts politically nuanced, any reflections? Somewhere they sit, sip something and laugh off our logic,
Slogans coined by masters of bondage.

In recent weeks, my homeland stood resolute, "Goonz," they named us, for defying their logic,
Weeks on the battleground, gas aimed to instill fear, Yet fear faltered, and with it, their dominion.
Victory is yet to be achieved, obvious they have another within their sleeves, Sorry they felt and fled
Slogans crafted by masters of enslavement.

"Anguka Nayo" trends, as Zacheas nods in defeat, A roller coaster ride, all efforts down the drain,
As we strive to care, mend and amend, humbling the haughty, A new sheriff in town,
Cautious steps in trade. "We beat them and join them," whispers the wind, "we are not our forebears." Slogans of the enslaved masters.

A new dawn for Africa, nations besieged, Refusing destitution, no longer begging but demanding,
Politics that which has been a ladder to personal wealth, promises unfulfilled is lucrative no more,
Refusing disrespect, the people “SHALL" in the words of our leaders, Make it Mandatory
The Slogans echoing from the enslaved masters.

Deceptions woven through clandestine schemes, Lecherous acts put capitalism on pause,
Resulting to lack of jobs and other essentials, Youth drawn into crime as their sole mission,
Freedom is finally here, Refuse and re-align as the sole mission, our mission is liberation.
Slogans from the masters of enslavement.
